A PCF component is real code inside a low-code app, with a defined lifecycle and a real build pipeline. This covers the manifest, the lifecycle methods that trip people up, and the honest question of whether you should write one at all.

Power Pages puts Dataverse on the public internet. Table permissions and web roles are the entire access model — not page visibility, not hidden links — and understanding how a permission is scoped is what separates a safe site from an exposed one.

Canvas and model-driven apps are not two ways to build the same thing. One starts from a screen, the other starts from a schema — and that difference determines what each one is cheap and expensive to change later.

The delegation warning looks like performance advice. It is not. A non-delegable filter evaluates the first 500 records and reports on those, so searches miss records that exist and totals are quietly wrong.

Adding comments to a record in a canvas app is a common requirement and a good illustration of delegation, concurrency and refresh. The straightforward version is subtly wrong in three ways, all of which appear only once real data arrives.

Power Fx is easy to write badly because it accepts procedural code. These are the patterns that hold up once an app has thirty screens and someone else has to change it: derive rather than store, handle errors where they happen, and give components real boundaries.
